The QGIS project has released version 3.38, introducing significantly improved 3D terrain visualisation and point cloud rendering capabilities aimed at urban planners and civil engineers. The update includes tighter integration with OpenStreetMap data and new mesh layer analysis tools. Several UK local authorities, including Leeds City Council, have already begun piloting the release for flood risk mapping workflows.
