Network Rail has deployed an internal infrastructure monitoring dashboard built on PostGIS, Apache Superset, and TimescaleDB to visualise asset condition data across its managed estate of over 30,000 bridges and structures. The stack replaces a proprietary BI tool from SAP and was developed in collaboration with Informed Solutions under a GDS-aligned service design approach. Network Rail intends to open source the dashboard configuration and data schema under an MIT licence by Q3 2025.
