The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is piloting an open source planning data pipeline built on PostgreSQL and Apache Superset, designed to aggregate local development data from across England into a single accessible portal. The pilot involves eight local planning authorities including Bristol City Council and Leeds City Council. The initiative aligns with commitments made under the Levelling-Up and Regeneration Act to modernise the planning system.
