/

Hampshire County Council has completed a full migration from Esri ArcGIS to QGIS 3.38, covering its strategic planning and highways asset management teams. The move, supported by open source consultancy Lutra Consulting, is expected to save the authority an estimated £180,000 annually in licensing costs. The council has committed to contributing bug fixes and plugin development back to the QGIS project.
