The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has confirmed continued funding for the Planning Data platform, underpinned by PostgreSQL and a Python-based ETL pipeline developed in the open on GitHub. The platform, originally incubated by the former DLUHC digital team, now aggregates planning datasets from over 300 local planning authorities. A new API versioning framework will go live in summer 2025 to support PropTech integrations.
