London Borough of Lewisham has completed a full migration of 1,800 staff to LibreOffice 24.x, concluding a phased programme begun in 2022 under pressure from the council's IT rationalisation strategy. The authority reports cumulative savings of approximately £280,000 compared with renewing Microsoft 365 licences at scale. Lewisham ICT lead Paul Adeyemi credited The Document Foundation's enterprise support channel and internal macro rewriting effort as key to the programme's success.
