Lichfield District Council has completed a full migration from Microsoft 365 to LibreOffice across its 600-seat workforce, citing unsustainable licensing cost increases as the primary driver. The council worked with Collabora Productivity to deploy Collabora Online for browser-based document editing. The project, delivered over eight months, is expected to save approximately £180,000 per year and has been cited as a model for smaller district councils facing similar budget pressures.
