Engineering consultancy Arup has announced a phased rollout of BlenderBIM, the open-source IFC-native BIM authoring tool, across its UK, Netherlands, and German offices. The move supplements rather than replaces existing Autodesk Revit licences, focusing on IFC model review, coordination, and client visualisation workflows. Arup's digital team has committed two developers to upstream contributions to the IfcOpenShell project.
