Northumbrian Water has gone live with OpenProject, the open-source project management platform, to coordinate its five-year £1.8 billion capital investment programme. The deployment, implemented with support from consultancy Mayflower Digital, replaces a mix of Microsoft Project and spreadsheet-based workflows. The utility cited better auditability and lower total cost of ownership as primary drivers for the switch.
