The Open Source Geospatial Foundation has formally established a UK national chapter, OSGeo:UK, with founding members drawn from Ordnance Survey, the British Geological Survey, and several university geography departments. The chapter will focus on promoting tools such as QGIS, GeoServer, and PostGIS within public sector geospatial workflows. An inaugural conference is planned for Birmingham in autumn 2025.
