OpenStreetMap Data Adopted by Planning Inspectorate for Appeal Case Mapping

/

The Planning Inspectorate has begun incorporating OpenStreetMap data into its digital case management platform to support the visualisation of planning appeal sites across England. The initiative, developed in collaboration with MHCLG's digital team, uses the Leaflet.js mapping library to render interactive site maps within case documentation. The Inspectorate says the move reduces reliance on Ordnance Survey licensed data for internal workflow tools.
