The QGIS project has released version 3.38, featuring enhanced 3D scene export capabilities that allow urban planners to publish interactive models directly from spatial datasets. Several UK local authorities, including Bristol City Council and Leeds City Council, have piloted the feature through their spatial planning teams. OSGeo UK has confirmed it will host training webinars for planning officers throughout Q3 2025.
