Southwark Council is among the first wave of local planning authorities to begin live testing of the Open Digital Planning case management software, developed under the DLUHC-funded project in collaboration with Lambeth and Buckinghamshire councils. The system, built on a Python and Django stack, aims to streamline validation, consultation, and decision-making workflows. Early findings suggest a 20 percent reduction in officer time spent on routine correspondence handling.
