Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council has completed a phased migration of its core finance and procurement functions to the open source ERP platform ERPNext, replacing a legacy Oracle system. The project, delivered in partnership with UK integrator Frappe UK, is expected to save the council approximately £340,000 annually in licensing fees. Officials described the transition as part of a broader digital transformation strategy aligned with the Local Digital Declaration.
