The QGIS project has released version 3.38, introducing native support for IFC geometry layers and improved connectivity with Ordnance Survey's OS NGD API. The update allows planners and spatial analysts to overlay BIM data directly within QGIS projects without third-party plugins. Several UK local authorities, including Leeds City Council and Bristol City Council, have been cited as early adopters in the release notes.
