Southwark London Borough Council has rolled out Nextcloud Hub as its primary internal document collaboration platform following a value-for-money review of its Microsoft 365 subscription. The deployment, supported by open source integrator Collabora Productivity, includes the Collabora Online document editor and is expected to deliver savings of around £240,000 over a three-year contract period. Council officers say data sovereignty and the ability to self-host sensitive housing and planning documents were also significant factors in the decision.
