The OSGeo project has released PostGIS 3.5, bringing significant performance improvements to topology operations and raster data processing. The release includes enhanced support for 3D geometry indexing, a feature of particular interest to urban digital twin developers. Several UK local authorities using GeoServer-based data infrastructure have already begun testing the upgrade in staging environments.
