QGIS 3.38 Adopted by Greater Manchester Combined Authority for Strategic Planning

Greater Manchester Combined Authority has announced a full migration to QGIS 3.38 across its spatial planning and transport strategy teams, replacing an Esri ArcGIS licensing arrangement. The move is expected to save approximately £180,000 annually in software licensing costs. The authority has committed to contributing custom plugins developed in-house back to the QGIS open source project.
